MB Advertising began life over 30 years ago and ever since we have been successfully helping the car, truck and van dealers who work with us sell more vehicles, service and MOT tests and parts. In 2008 we merged with Bluesky Interactive and together we form MBBluesky.
We now employ over 140 people across 3 locations, and offer a fully integrated range of services from web design through to campaign management, video production & more. Our industry experience speaks volumes and we currently partner with over 1000 dealers across the whole of the UK.
Here are some of the key milestones in the journey that got us to where we are today:
1989 - Mike Bennett Advertising & Marketing is founded
We begin a 30 year journey (and still counting!) of successfully dealing with car dealers. Starting with clients such as DC Cook and Cowie Group.
1991 - Justin Bennett joins the company
Mike Bennett's son joins the team and is now our Company Secretary and Finance Director.
1994 - MB Advertising is formed
The Company changes its name from Mike Bennett Advertising to MB Advertising & Marketing Ltd. The MB brand journey begins.....
1995 - Neale Evans joins the company as a Director
Neale joins the team from Cowie, bringing a wealth of automotive and marketing knowledge with him.Today he is the Group Chairman
2002 - New offices at Sovereign Court
MB Advertising moved from its origins on the Wicker in Sheffield to a superb purpose built offices at Sovereign Court around the corner from Meadowhall.
2002 - Simon Crace Joins the Company
Simon joins the team from a media and agency background, to work on the Arriva account. Today he is the Managing Director.
2003 - Management buy out takes place
Neale and Justin complete a management buy out from Ian Clarke. The business has continued to go from strength to strength under their control, becoming ever more influential in the Automotive marketplace.
2007 - The Sheffield floods arrive...
The Sheffield floods hit the City and our office. The team were forced to evacuate the building one Monday morning, as water began rising from the floor to desk-top level. Not before we had delivered our final adverts to their end destination though. Thats what you call commitment.
2008 - MB Advertising and Bluesky merge
After working as partners on many mutual clients for several years we finally tied the knot! MB Advertising merges with Bluesky Interactive and Alan Crane joins the group.
2010 - We move in to new premises on Shepcote Lane
MB builds brand new office facilities on Shepcote Lane and we move in to our new home. Where we happily remain to this day.
2012 - Happy birthday Bluesky !
Our sister company Bluesky Interactive celebrate its 10 year anniversary. Websites have come a long way in those 10 years!
2014 - MB Advertising celebrates its 25th birthday
MB Advertising & Marketing celebrate an amazing milestone, 25 years in business.
2015 - We win the 'Car Dealer Agency of the Year' Award
Particularly pleasing as it was voted for by our clients. Thanks to everyone in the business for all of their hard work.
2019 - MB Advertising celebrates its 30th birthday
MB advertising reaches another fantastic milestone. 30 years in business. Thank you to our clients, some of whom have been with us every step of the way, and to all of the people who have contributed to our success over the last 3 decades.
